Curious about HYROX-style training? Thinking about entering Arena Race – The Main Event in March? Or just want something different to challenge yourself?

Arena Sim Series #1 is your chance to experience a fully set-up HYROX-style simulation without the pressure of competition. No station judges. No placings. No expectation that you already know exactly what you're doing.

You'll be professionally timed, complete the stations in a full event-style set-up and walk away knowing a whole lot more about where you're at, and what to work on next.

What to expect

The same eight stations, in the same order

You'll move through the HYROX-style workout stations in the same order you'll experience at our Main Event.

You'll have a timing chip. You'll have a start time. You'll have a finish time.

But you won't have station judges watching every rep. This one is about learning.

What you'll find out

  • How does your body respond?
  • Where do you lose time?
  • Which stations feel good?
  • Which ones hurt more than expected?
  • What happens to your running after a heavy sled?
  • And what should you work on next?

Your result gives you a benchmark to train from.

Half Simulation

8 × 500 m runs + 8 workout stations

A brilliant first step if you're new to this style of event or simply want to test yourself without taking on the full running distance.

Full format

Full Simulation

8 × 1 km runs + 8 workout stations

Want to see how the full format feels? This is your opportunity to test it in a low-pressure environment before Main Event weekend.

Teams of two

Doubles

Half or Full Simulation

Not ready to do it alone? Don't. Bring a training partner and take it on together. Doubles is available across Half and Full Simulation formats.

Need to scale it?

Absolutely.

If a movement or load doesn't work for you because of a mobility limitation, talk to us.

Movements and loads can be scaled where required so you can still experience the course, get a time and find out what you're capable of.

There are no placings here and no station judges. This is exactly the place to try it.

This is not about winning

The clock is there for you.

There are no podiums to chase. No station judge is waiting to no-rep you. And nobody expects perfection.

Think of your finish time as information, not judgement. It gives you a starting point, because once you know where you are, you can decide where you want to go.

Put it all together

The full race experience: judges, placings and atmosphere.

December isn't about being ready for March. It's about finding out what you need to do to get ready.

Who is it for?

You.
Seriously.

You don't have to be a HYROX athlete. You don't need to be the fastest person in your gym. And you definitely don't need to wait until you feel “fit enough”.

This event is for gym members, runners, functional fitness athletes, training partners, first-timers and experienced athletes looking for a benchmark.

And anyone who's looked at the Main Event and thought: “I'd like to try that… but I'm not sure.” Come and find out.
